Well, I think I'm picking up on the Dry Sky Stacker program as this one has stacked much better with little noise. I added in 10 dark images to help.

You should be able to click to see the large and then have the option to see the original. This was also taken at the Mauna Kea Observatory. The cluster is in the area of the hypotenuse of the three bright starts that make a right triangle. Its more obvious the large you go.

Man I wish the stars looked even CLOSE to this anywhere I've been around Texas. Might have to make a day trip here soon and pull an all nighter taking star pictures.

Thanks! I thought it turned out pretty good for ISO3200!

Great star field. There are many more stars in this data that have been lost as a result of the black point being clipped. Doing so buries noise but also the good stuff.

I raised the low end in Photoshop using curves until RGB was 25/25/25 and there were many faint stars revealed. Your color balance is superb. That's very impressive quality at ISO 3200.

Thanks guys! This was 7 exposures and 10 dark frames (I think i did it right. I set my camera to the same settings as used in the light frames but took the pics in complete darkness. )

There is for sure some detail left out, but I like that dark feel enough to make it work it for this one. Its my background on my desktop :)

Here is a before/after... Deep Sky Stacker does a pretty good job and I am sure it can do better if you actually know what you are doing lol
