Here are a few female vaulters from a high school track meet a couple weeks ago. I think the bar is at 6' 6". First vaulter is my daughter. Her personal best is 7' 6"

they need to bend the pole to get any decent height. but everyone starts out as a straight-pole vaulter. then you scare the bejeesus out of yourself the first time you do bend the pole and launch yourself 50 feet beyond the mats.

Most girls in the Denver Metro "stick vault." Meaning that little or no energy is loaded into the pole.
If I could get them to load the pole and rock back, they'd go high!
