Calm, serene and quiet aurora passes over pelican rapids, alberta.

Took this way back in january. I was scouring my old hard drive and found a bunch of old keepers that I just never did anything with.

A rainy day gives me a chance to tidy up the clutter

No problem, I'll be less active for the season..i forgot how bright the summers were in the summer in the arctic! It's 2 am nearly and there are no stars; too bright. Hell I can still see the sun going down.

Always great shots, but I guess that's the price you pay....:cool::D

Indeed, I waited ALL NIGHT last night....

The only star that came out was a big bright one in the east...I am not sure what it's called and it was a funny color, but extremely bright. Maybe a planet, not sure, I'll have to get familiar with the constellations and the season changes sometime.

It was the ONLY star. No stars, anywhere. Pretty much stays at twilight the whole night and the sun doesn't even go down...hang on why am I talking about it, I'll just post pictures over in nature and landscapes sometime
