You might need to explain this sport a bit. Are there different events? I see some carriages have people dressed up while others have people in helmets and matching jerseys.

There are three phases, dressage, cones and marathon. Dressage is a series of designated movements in an enclosed arena, just like regular dressage, but with a carriage instead of on the horse. Cones is precision driving where they navigate through some rather narrow pylons that have balls sitting on top of them. If they touch the cone, the ball drops and they are penalized. Marathon is kind of like a cross-country course where they go long distances and navigate various obstacles.

I was really hoping they'd be like chariots with some rocking wheel spikes. Probably cause I saw Gladiator the other day.

Thanks - it's not a huge sport, but I must say that it looked like a lot of fun. I've never driven a horse, but being at this all weekend sure made me want to try it.

It was at the Calgary Polo Club.
