I recently discovered an issue with my set of pocket wizard II's.
I was using a 50D + Arax 35mm 2.8 t/s lens. since the lens is manual focus I was using live view for my focusing.
I had 1 pocket wizard on the hotshoe of my camera, and one attached to a white lightning x1600.
today is the first time using the manual focus lens and liveview while trying to fire the strobe remotely.
I could not get the strobe to fire while in live view. what I did to compensate was focus in live view, then turn live view off, shut the pocket wizards off and back on again, then fired the shot. this way worked. but if I just leave the pocket wizards on, focused in live view, turned off live view, then fired the shot, the flash would not fire. I had to turn off and then back on the PW's between each use of live view.
I am wondering if maybe I need to use a different setting somewhere I am overlooking?
