I took some shots with a non-canon pointandshoot and they turned out much better than I ever would have expected.

Thank you. There is a difference in the way people react to the DSLR as you point it at them and the little toylike pocket thing that you sort of keep at a distance. The girls behave as if there were no camera there at all.

The reason a good deal of the great street photogrpahers shoot/shot with Leica M.. And then theres the glass.

I was very close to buying a Leica several times.
Now I do not think there is a way back to film from digital once you are used to the speed and confort. Not many of us have enough of wallspace to hang even their better shots at 30x40 cm in the house. Ouf, the chemicals, the heat and the smell of the darkroom in the tropic. No way.

I've heard that Leica is working out the sensor issues and the M9 should be a real beauty. If thats the case I might be moving to Leica.

canon is good but maybe we´ve got carriied away with the big and beautiful machines not really thinking what our subject might think of them
