Here are a few shots from an AutoX I went to yesterday. It was my first time attempting panning shots. One thing I noticed that I should have done better is leaving more negative space in front of the car than behind... Next time.

This one is not as sharp as I would have liked, but it is a cool shot showing the brakes glowing so I kept it.

What the heck kind of autocross course do you have that is fast enough to get the rotors glowing? sheesh!!!

I am thinking that the rotors are painted, and not glowing. I might be wrong...

I have gotten rotors "glowing" on an autocross course at less than 40mph and within 30 seconds.

What actually happens is that some pad compounds slow the car by putting down pad material and then that material acts as a friction surface. (Vs just harder compound building friction) So what you actually see is the material itself "glowing" and not the rotor like you would at a NASCAR short track or road race.

Now, it is was more obvious at night, and I haven't seen it as much as it is in those photos, so I would wonder if maybe it's the reflection of a cone in the wheel. (Though, that does look more like rotor-depth in the wheel there)

This was a very fast course, it was setup on an old runway so there were alot of spots where you could build some good speed. A few cars rotors were glowing entering this corner. I did not notice it when I was there, but I could see it as I was going through the images.
