g 10 waterproof case....what do you clean it with.

Took the g10 and waterproof case to a water park today and the camera and case were great. the park was heavily 'chemicalized'' and there is a residue on it my normal lens wipes wont' remove. any suggestions to clean the case?

i wouldn't recommend anything but dish-soap and water.

That sounds like some kind of post-apocalyptic park you have there.

I agree.......dawn and clean water. Be sure the gasket is still greased after the wash, especially if you plan on taking it underwater. Once the gasket dries out your in trouble.

I like Dawn diswashing liquid, remove the O-rings,,,,wash out and relub / replace the O-rings.

Wow! Please, don't, under any circumstances, get the inside of the case wet if you can avoid it. Keep the case closed and sealed as if you are going underwater and then clean the exterior as mentioned. Unless your case was flooded or otherwise opened and moisture got inside there should be no need to clean the inside.

If you do need to clean the inside I've found with other housings (hasn't arisen with my G10 housing) that Windex works well.

What sort of results do you get with the G10 housing? I presume it's Canon's - WDC something? I'm very unhappy with mine, though I love the camera.
