If you are a photojournalist in the military, you are going to get the pay rate associated with your rank. Why are you asking, btw? Are you looking to enlist?

Here are the MOSs in the USMC that are associated with photographers.


4300 Basic Combat Correspondent - LCPL-PVT
4313 Broadcast Journalist - MGYSGT-PVT
4341 Combat Correspondent - MGYSGT-PVT

Thanks! Im not sure if im looking to enlist. I'm definitely going to take a while to look into it. i think it would be an experience of a life time and can't even imagine the things i would get to see

After I got wounded in 1970, 1st Force Recon, Charley Co, I spent a lot of time with base special services to facilitate a new hobby....I found that photography hit the mark. After I was released back to active duty I requested an MOS change from 0302 to 4302 (you can look them up)..

A very good friend of mine suggested to me that being an "information officer" and working with public affairs was nothing more than a huge PIA....
