How do you guys like this idea for a business card? Too busy?

nope, this is nice! it's the kind of design that looks rather busy on screen but will come out just fine in print, no worries! Another win for B+W+ support colour : -)

although one thing; your name on the front size could be a lil' bit smaller and the "p" of photography should be lined directly and precisely underneath the "h" of john batte so that your "t" will be better placed underneath your "n", too , but thats nitpicking

Nice card, John. Two things jump out at me.... First, the "commercial, automotive..." text is VERY small. I suspect that printed at normal size, it will be virtually impossible to read. Second, while I actually think the "web:" "email:" headings works in this case, I'm not sure they should be in a bold font, as compared to the actual web site, email address, etc. They should be smaller than them, if anything, since they are not the item you're trying to attract the eye to.

I like the card. Here are my thoughts:

What you call the back, I would call the front.

Agreed that the commercial, automotive & fasion are a bit too small. Looks like you have a diff size font for the phone: and the actual numbers. Seems like you are mixing gray and white color fonts on the "back". Make it all white? Not sure if the gray font will show that well on a printed card.

the hyper blue on black is a bit played out. I think every other photographers web site I go to these days has that exact same color combo. I would go for something more original if you are trying to stand out from the pack.

I think it looks pretty killer. Your card inspired me to get thinking about my logo and eventual card, so thanks!

just remember, when you post something on the web it is converted to rgb colour format. If you want to sent it to the printers it will have to be in cymk format which means that blue colour will change. With cymk you cannot get the same fluorescent effects as rgb so make a few test prints first to try and get the closest resemblance.
