S50 and CF card

For some reason, when I take pictures from my S50(that I just bought on ebay) and put the flash card into a reader, neither a PC or Mac will see the card. The card in question is one I've used with my 10D many times over. I've formatted the card in the S50 yet it still can't be seen on either platform. Plugging directly into the camera and importing works, however I cannot import RAW images.

Operator error? Card Error? Bad Camera buy?

since I cannot see the card via CF reader, I use iPhoto. I still cannot figure out why the card isn't seen on either platform...

Oh, so its just a single card that won't work?

I know there's been quite a few threads started on that subject. If you do a search you'll prolly find a ton of 'em.
