slower shutter speeds so the wheels will be spinning more.. looks like the flash needs to be pointed higher..

Hi Dave,
I haven't done alot of flash work before so thanks for comment i'll try the slower shutter speeds next time i'm out and about. I found it a bit hit and miss. It's a shame there's not more night time events.

It won't make any difference. The flash will always freeze the wheels unless you can turn the power well down...and at that point it'll most likely be too low to be of any use on a night stage.

^^true didnt think about that.. but next time bump the ISO and drop the shutter speed.

:)I like the fiesta,6R4 & mk2,it's not easy to get a sense of movement when using flash.......you can use a much slower shutter speed (down to 1/20th of a second) & the wheels are still frozen but at least you get a sense of speed by the lights bluring!
Worth a try next time, just experiment with different settings & see what works

Hi pete,
Been experimenting with quite alot of info from the forum when i went to Jim clark rally so hopefully next time out i'll try a bit more but thanks for comment. I would like to get em a bit sharper if poss. That's my main aim to get em sharp and then to slow down shutter speeds.
Thanks.
Phil.
