i'm trying to come up with a title for this but i'm having trouble finding the words that really strike me as fitting for the scene. something about the value of experience. anyway, i'd also like to know what you guys think of the image, so feel free to critique.

Nice shot & effect. I suck at titles, too.

i always wonder about these great images and their perfect moment. there isn't any gargbage, no distracting movie posters, the wooden bench is very classic, i love the overcast light. this could go well in bw but i love what you did with it. is this the original or did you tweek?
great image!

thanks for the nice comments :]
it's wasn't a 'perfect' image to begin with. that cup by the man's feet had a starbucks logo on it and there was a small post in front of the bench that i couldn't get away from in cluding in the original shot, even though i knew i'd be able to make it dissapear in PS. i did the desaturated look after converting the raw file only because i thought of the effect once i had started messing with it. all i really did was do an overall desturation ajustment layer and a curve to strenthen the highlights and shadows. i could have gotten the same look when fixing up the image in the raw conversion plugin.
