I am looking for an intermediate/beginner level book specifically written for the Digital Rebel that has information on using all the features and explains Depth of Field, appertures, exposure levels, ISO, ect.. and all the basic photography stuff. I bought one that was just a general guide and I had trouble applying some of the theory to my camera.

i'll google it and get back to you

Yeah, those look cheap too. I have heard many people say the National Geographic ones are very good. I spent almost $60 on the last one I bought on Amazon.com. Thanks for the links.

Tried the on-line Canon Digital Rebel tutorials (http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html) from Canon Digital Learning Center?

I'd recommend A Short Course in Canon EOS Digital Rebel Photography (find it here (http://www.shortcourses.com/bookstore/canon/book_canonrebel.htm)). It has generic information on digital photography in general but it also has much dRebel-specific info as well. I found it helpful back when I had a dRebel.

You might want to try "A Short Course in Canon EOS Digital Rebel Photography" by Dennis Curtin. It combines specific Rebel info and beginner/intermediate information on photography. I think it is very good for the beginner and it is specific to this camera. A friend of mine is selling his Rebel and is going to sell the book and CD. If you want me to get you a price(he was going to sell both with the camera) send me an email at sbailey@scana.com, I know they are in great condition. New they sell for around $30 plus shipping. Could save you some money and if you want more info you can sell without the loss and move onto something else.

Kits Camera store sells a book specific to the dRebel written by
Rob Sheppard. It is very easy to understand with a lot of color pictures
to illustrate the text.

It is easier to comprehend than the owners manual which is black and white
and pretty tiny.

He also writes a book on digital SLR photography which is also very informative
for the beginner/intermediate.

Good luck.

Rob Sheppard

He is the Editor of Outdoor Photography magazine, if that means anything for credentials.
