Creative uses for wireless remote

I just received my Phottix wireless remote last week and was trying to come up with some off-the-wall uses for it. For example, how about sticking the camera down in a slight depression between railroad cross ties and getting some way cool wide angle shots of an oncoming train (and hoping that the camera survives)? Or possibly some more mundane things like placing the camera up close to the bird feeder in the back yard to get some good bird close-ups without needing a big telephoto.

I'd love to hear all of the creative uses that my fellow POTNers have come up with for their wireless remotes, so let 'er rip!
