Well, hello POTN!

I'm relatively new here, and just graduated from a semester long photography class. I would like to get into glamor shots/portraits, but can't find a model

haha

anyway, me and my family are going to Yosemite this weekend for a week. I have been there many times before, but i would like to know what your favorite spots are, and perhaps some tips (if any) for taking pictures there.

Thank you!:D

"The Photographer's Guide to Yosemite" by Michael Frye is exactly what you need and the price is right -- it's only $8.95. I picked up a copy in Curry Village while I was there, although there were only a few copies. It's an excellent book that will keep you busy if you're looking to photograph some of Yosemite's iconic spots.

I keep my copy of Michael's book in my camera bag!

Make sure you take a drive along Tioga Road (hwy 120). I had some killer sunset shots from Tuolumne Meadows last Wednesday. Currently the meadow as some water in the meadows, great place to photo the sunset...

Have a great trip, maybe I'll see you up there (kids want to play in the snow).

Bring a bike and bike the valley floor, you'll be amazed at the shots you'll get

Try the obvious spots. Anywhere on the valley floor are great. Up on Taft Point is gorgeous with beautiful fissures and stomach turning drop offs.
