You can do all of this with Enfuse. Enfuse will respect alpha channels that you, the user, create for each image. The alpha channel (the video above calls it a luminosity mask) will be respected by Enfuse's blending algorithm, so that you can fine tune what gets considered for blending in each image in your blend sequence.
