Here are a couple of waders i photographed at RSPB minsmere reserve ( England ) last year.

The first is an Avocet.

The second is a Black-Tailed Godwit and an Avocet.

Both were taken with Canon 10D + canon 100-400mm lens.

Your English Avocet has the same shape as the American Avocet, yet the plumage is colored rather differently.

Thank you all for your kind comments! The avocet is one of my favorites,hence why i used the picture as my avtar. will be going back to Minsmere soon.
