wein HS Slave

I have a Wein HS slave... I wanted to use with my Canon Flashs, but it doesnt fit. I tired sliding into my Canon 540EZ and the 550EX. it wouldnt go in. I have no problems sliding into the Nikon SB-80DX. anyone know why?? I wanted to use my Canon flash as an slave when I'm using my Fuji digital w/ SB-80DX.

Did you unscrew the flash to the "open" position? Can't think of anything else...

yes i did.. thats why I find it VERY weird. before I purchased the 550EX, I thought it was just the 540EZ made differently or something. So I didnt think much of it. But now that I have 550EX and it doesnt slide in.... I'm wondering if my Wein was made differently. TOO weird.....

I researched this with Wein a while back. Their recent line of Hot Shoe Slaves do not fit Canon flashes. The Canon foot is too large. You can get around this by buying a hot shoe to PC adapter from www.paramountcords.com . The one for the EZ flashes fit the EX flashes.
