Hello all.... I am looking for some advice for photographing fireworks. I have tried the last two years and have had bad luck if any. I would love to hear your advice. I have tried everything from low to high ISO and Low to High F stops and just cant seem to find the right setting. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Well, a tripod is a must and a shutter controller helps immensely. Prior to the first shot, I would set my focus manually. Set the aperture to get an appropriate depth of field (I would shoot somewhere around f/8 personally) and shoot at lowest ISO. Figure that you want to get 0.5-2 second exposure to get the desired effect, so work in manual mode.

If the shots are not to your taste, you can always tweak the settings one way or another. You might even try shooting AEB in high speed, that way, you at least get a good idea of what you want to do next time.

Hope this helps.
