Ok, Had just finished a piece of cheesecake, admiring my nifty 50, and decided to snap a photo.

Then decided to try out a new method of B&W conversion

You know what?
I really thought I would see a beautiful photo of a cheesecake, just being apparted from it's first slice.
I will now go out to find some... ...really!
BTW, what B&W conversion method?

i like the color version a lot but i think the bw conversion could use a bit more contrast

I agree, it was my first time doing the B&W this way.
Everyone else: Sorry for the misleading title :D If I had any more of it left, I would take a photo. Next time I eat something good I will take a before photo ;)
The B&W conversion used (I was an amateur desaturate/grayscale user previously) was the first one covered in popular photography in this months issue - Adding a Channel mask, mixing the colors to my liking, then clicking monochrome. I like the result but I definitely agree that it needs more contrast!
Thanks for all the comments  Photo was taken with my D-Reb and 50mm Mk1

I've been looking forward to that issue coming to Canada. We get them at our bookstores over a month behind release!
Nice photo's btw.
