Hi everyone,
I am planning on purchasing a tablet and came across this one - I was hoping that someone could either give me a quick education as to which one is good or has information on this one.

To be honest, the price point is great approx $120....but doesn't that seem a little cheap for a 12x10" tablet with 1024 levels of sensitivity.
Is this too good to be true/cheap quality or should I jump on this deal????

All I can say is Wacom, I have an Intuos 3 (4x6 so my hand doesn't have to move so far) which travels with my laptop, and a Wacom Cintiq 12"(which I'm still getting used to, but love it).
Wacom is seamless with Photoshop both CS4(CS3) and Lightroom and thats the most impotrant part to me.

Another vote for Wacom. Go with the 'standard' in this case and you can't go wrong.

Yet another vote for Wacom. I have Intuos 3 (6x9) and love it. Don't use it everyday but it comes really handy for certain things in Photoshop CS4.

I just got the Wacom Intuos4 medium (my first tablet) & its a Dream. But it was almost $400(USD) after tax. One thing you wont need a huge tablet in most cases. Get a small Wacom and you wont regret it.

I've heard the 4x6 size size is a little too small. What's the general consensus among photographers?
Any thoughts on the Intuos 3 versus the Intuos 4?

I4 has some nice gadgets :)
i used an A6 tablet for approx. 5 years, before that i had an A5 for 6 and now i have an A4, i prefer the larger size for more control (1600x1200 res, now 1920x1200)

For photo editing, the 4x6 fine. Photo editing is done with mostly pencil-like movements--small and precise--and when you want more precision, you'll enlarge the image on the monitor anyway so that you can see it more clearly.
The larger tablets are better for drawing and painting, which calls for more sweeping "paint from the shoulder" movements.

Thanks for the advice, that settles it for me. Size 4x6 seems to be adequate for photo editing.
Would you recommend spending about $100 more for the more sensitive Intuos4 over the Intuos3?

yeah i was told this as well, but its not true :)
Would you recommend spending about $100 more for the more sensitive Intuos4 over the Intuos3?its not about the sensitivity with the I4, its about using the keyboard less..

its about using the keyboard less..
Could you elaborate?

the new buttons on the tablet are designed so that you reach for the keyboard less..
the new ExpressKeys™ 10 on the Medium+ and 6 on the small, mean you can put keyboard short cuts on the tablet to help keep your hands where they should be :)

FYI: The Intuos4 comes with a discount on CS4 ($299) for those who don't have a previous version to upgrade from and want it, this is a cheap way to get it. All sizes of the Intuos have this offer.
