I like it except for the words around the oustide. Maybe just put them to the right of or underneath the symbol?

I agree. I like the "DIP" graphic, but not crazy about the text around the circle.

I agree with the others. The "DIP" design is killer. I could do without the text outside, but I don't mind it that much. Actually, the lines are so strong on that "DIP" design that it takes me a while to notice the text... I guess the text seems a bit extraneous. But, it's definitely necessary, and I don't know where else to put it, so... maybe bolding or stroking that font a bit to make the lines a little thicker?

The dot above the "i" in the design is a bit asymmetrical left-to-right.... blowing it up in PS, it actually looks a little skewed diagonally. It may just be the way it's dithered or it could be something else, but it definitely bugs me. You want that thing to be a perfect oval IMO. If you made it a perfect circle, it would go with the dots in the outside text (the left one has a dithering problem too BTW, it looks left-heavy.... the one on the right is perfect, well, it's not exactly symmetrical but close enough that it doesn't catch your attention), but it could throw off the "long and lean" feel of the "DIP" letters.

Thanks for the great feedback! What about now?

One of the most fundamental rules in graphic design when using typography is to never distort type. It looks cheap. Get rid of the text round the outside and the outside circle as well. Have you distorted the 'd' also? Looks like a tennis ball to me =p

the diP is freakin' awesome. well done! lose the text around the edge and just put it in a straight line at the bottom maybe?

also, the dip looks like a face - the d and p form the eyes and the i is the nose.. the circle is.. well, you get the idea! cool that it's rotationally symmetrical too!

I don't like the stretched look of the outside text. The first version was better in this regard. I also think I would like a bigger dot on the i.

+1 on all of the type on the outer circle comments. the distortion is distracting.

I'd also consider increasing the whitespace around the curves of the 'd' and the 'p'. It looks good at this size, but dropped down to business card size, the chance of that bleeding over is quite high.

It's a very memorable design overall. Nice choice on color as well.

Isn't dip a slang word for an 'unsmart' person though, aside from the prefix dip****?

I may be totally wrong, but 'image' seems a little redundant- what other kind of photography is there?

I think you are really close though. :)

Thanks, this is very helpful!

Personally, maybe it's just the wrong font. I like the text on the outside of your dip logo. Play around with a font not quite so light and airy feeling. Actually, make the dip smaller and the font stronger. This will help get the TRUE message, your company NAME, across more quickly and accurately.

You're pretty close on the design. It looks good.

I'd axe the text on the outside and also the dot on the i. Try it that way.

Cool look tho.
