Another fashion show... much smaller scale, but way better organized. You may notice all the pics are of one model :) I have more, just haven't processed them yet

Thank you for your comments pitbull_terrier, Jennifer, Charlse, Michael :D
pitbull, the show was just a presentation at a modeling school
Jennifer, I agree, some of them have funny expression... these are all taken during a show, no set up shots, so facial expressions were very diverse :-P

Well done! Amazing how you were able to process the images of this model First. Are we a little biased Chris? :D
What is the school? My wife is a Designer and we are working on a Store for Women right now.

Thanks Ro1, I used a little bit of both. 550EX bounced of a high ceiling and available light.
Mills, thanks for the compliment. Hehe, a little biased? I'd say a lot... she's my girlfriend ;)

Cool pics. I like the one in the red top but would get rid of the girl in the bottom left.

Nice pics...
I've discovered an interesting rule for using the direct on people's faces. If you're shooting vertical, the flash should be pointing the same way as the nose.
In other words, on the runway... if you're using the grip with 550 attached directly to it, you want to be on the right side of the podium.
If you're shooting from the left, you want to flip the camera 180 degrees...
Basically, you don't want to effectively extend the nose of the person with the flash shadow by half an inch or so. :D

thanks Frank
Doc, I see what you're saying. Of course, the effect would change with the camera – subject distance. In other words, if I was trying to take the same shot @ 17mm, my camera – subject distance would have been much smaller, the angle of incidence from the flash’s light would have been a lot larger therefore shadows would have been larger.
Either way, none of that applies in my case since I was bouncing :)
