No cropping done. This is how close I slowly got up to this beast of an animal. I tried going macro on his face after this shot but he was so fast by the time my brain sent the signal to my finger to press the shutter button he was already at the top of the nearest tree.

About 2 feet.
I really wanted to get into his face but I think he thought that 2 feet was close enough and darted away. Weirdest thing ever.....All the squirrels I've seen should be called chickens but this one stood his ground. :p
