Professionally speaking or what most people do, should a website URL be included with a watermark? or is it to much?
just asking what most people do.

use your URL. that way when a photo turns up somewhere, it's really easy to find out who owns it to report it/order it/ book you etc. etc.

I watermark all of my photos on the web. I make a brush and I just add it to the photo...

I too agree with dreamcatcher.
Of course, that was the point when I started this discussion: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=700567

I had to go back and dig out this thread due to what happened to me last week.
I started to show my URL as my watermark a couple of years ago, and I have proof it pays off. One of the racers I photographed took one of my photos with my watermark-URL and put it on his My Space. No big deal, I saw it there and didn't really care.
So one of his sponsors saw it on his My Space went to my website and ordered $140 worth of prints.
