I'm shooting some charity stuff and would like to have a site where I can upload the high res file and anyone I send the link to can download the high res image.

What is the best way to do this, I'm not worried about copyright or usage.

Just do a lightroom/jalbum/breezebrowser HTML gallery and self-host.

I use lightroom/simplviewer to do flash galleries, I'm not familiar with jalbum/breezebrowser, do you mind expanding on what you mean?

Well, much like you'd make a simpleviewer gallery, jalbum and breezebrowser let you make similar kinds of galleries which can be shared in the same way as your simpleviewer gallery. The difference with HTML galleries is that they're faster to load and make it easier for people to right-click and save as.

...I looked quickly at jalbum and just didn't see anything that looked very "pro". I've seen another photog who had a gallery that actually had a download button below the image. Just don't know where I saw it.

I think you'd need a server side script to change the MIME type to do that, as most browsers will auto display a jpeg rather than offer to save it to a location. I'm not much of a web guy though, so I'm not sure.

I think just having instructions below the file telling them to right click and save as would be fine.

as for jalbum/other skins, if you're happy with simpleviewer, why not just stick to that? I seem to remember it allows right clicking etc.
