hey guys,
just wanted to share a pic i messed with today.
it was hard for me to get enough light, and to focus...
needless to say i used a maglite and my 3rd arm to drop the droplets:)

The white line just seems to always show up. I noticed that in almost every picture I took, it was there. Were you letting the water drip from a tap? or another method?
Very nice.

Very nice.
I have found what works best for me is using a syringe (with no needle) It gives very controlled drops.

i used some sort of syringe thing..but it was an extremely oversized one ..meant for giving dogs liquid medication i think...
i wanna try one of those turkey baster things..nice large drops :)
yeah that white line is weird..
my guess is that when the flash went off...or its a reflection of the flashlight i used and then the water drop of course drops in the water and comes back up..i believe the white line is just the reflection of light on that droplet.

Hehe, I got the answer for the white line : Felix is an impostor!
In fact the water was put in a bowl placed upside down, and the thin line is just a wire used to suspend the droplet.
Felix then took his pics, and turned them upside down for display. Clever guy, uh?

Nice shots. Although this has been done thousands of times, it's always interesting to see what each individuals results are. Good show.
