Very interesting subject. Care to share where exactly is that scenery located? The colors were awesome, especially the blue of the sky and the green of the river. Excellent.

I think that shots got tons of potential. Looks like the horizon is tilted a degree or two clockwise. It also looks pretty flat and low in contrast. If it were mine I'd straighten it and maybe try a curves and/or contrast layer.

I hope to visit there someday.

Looks like a beautiful place to be!! I also see the image with a slight clockwise tilt. IMO resembles a painting rather than a photograph. But, a nice shot none the less!!

Nice shot, never seen it looking like that. Horse Shoe Bend is just one of many switchbacks in the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=horseshoe+bend,+arizona&sll=36.222315,-91.737961&sspn=0.203571,0.441856&g=horseshoe+bend&ie=UTF8&ll=36.883465,-111.51535&spn=0.050459,0.110464&z=14).
