Sydney Luminous Festival

Hey there,

Just spent a few hours PP'ing the photos I took from Sydney's Luminous festival.
Basically, Luminous is art using light.

What do you think of my capture?

It is very striking. I seem to see an odd grid pattern in the black bits, might just be the reduced size image.
I really like it!

The first thing I noticed was the odd grid pattern in the black foreground as well... not sure how that would happen?

Other than that, it's a cool shot. Also, I like the blue "projector ray". Why can you see it (was there moisture in the air)?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the comments.
It was slightly foggy, hence the rays.
No idea why the grid patterns are there :(
I used Noise Ninja to clean up the noise, as it was quite noisy, but it wasn't so "griddy".
Any ideas on how to remove that in PP?

Yes :-) I like the second photo better. I'm not sure why though; it could be that I just like the yellow better than the blue, but I think the framing is much better as well. I think the bright "stream" of light in the centre of the first photo might detract my eye from the Opera House a bit also.

Both are cool photos though.
