logo design help

I want to design a logo so i can start being an actual business. I have no ideas on a logo. The business name is Charlie Merrifield Photography. i have no idea where to start. I was thinking of hiring someone to design one for me but Cant afford to at the moment. Can anyone help out.

If you can't afford a logo you can't afford to start a business. That aside you can't use Photoshop? If you don't have photoshop that's another reason you shouldn't waste your time going into business.

The fees to become a registered business exceed the cost getting a logo made.

My experience has been that logos are $300+.

Why don't you barter with a designer for a logo? Do some photography for them in exchange for a logo.
