Agreed about the dark and bland. The lighting is actually okay for me (very even - nice job, for my eye), if only a little brighter. But more color would be good. Kudos on the layout, though. Very nice job of making it interesting; looks thought out, but not overly. Good balance of "random" placement without a look of chaos.

I also like this shot, and agree that a few simple adjustments will probably help.

Looks good, what all did you do?I boosted the saturation via channel mixer, gave it a slight bump in contrast, and made a minor curves adjustment.
