I recently switched from a XTI to a 40D and when i plug in the 40D to upload photos it just keeps saying camera not recognized. Anyone know how to get to recognize it? I'm using a Mac if that helps.
Also when i bought the 40D the guy never sent me the software with it, im still using the software from the XTI, dont know if that matters or not?

Update the software through Canon's website.

Select Mac OS X from the drop down menu to get the software available.

I never plug the camera in, use a card reader instead. It's easier and faster.

True but if i got time and need to save money (college student) why spend? Any benefits besides that?

Not that it takes that long, but it'll save on your camera's battery power. Besides, a CF card reader's only a couple of bucks.

Thats true they aren't that expensive i just see no need for one at the moment, rather save for more lens!!
