New forum for me, I mostly shoot birds, but this guy was spraying rice on the Katy Prairie and there were no birds about. This is an "Air Tractor", made in Olney, TX. I think it is powered by a 9 cylinder, 600 hp, radial Pratt and Whitney engine. It sounded powerful.

Here, he is coming around for another pass

and here, he is spraying something on the rice, headed right at me!
There is a vulture in the distance in the corner of this image, I like that.

My first airplane shots ever, any C & C will be appreciated. SS was 1/2000, a little slower would have made the prop blur more. Anyways, I thought some airplane fans would enjoy seeing this, mostly these guys are flying turboprops now.

I sure wouldn't be near the spray. Do you know what he is spraying? May not be healthy.

Was he spraying or seeding? Looks more like a seeding hopper under the airplane and and not a typical spray boom with nozzles. Definitely get the shutter down to at least 1/250th next time. Watching and shooting dusters, sprayers, etc can be a blast.
