I'm just wondering what the difference is between the two cameras?
Do they both take the same battery?
If they take the same battery and the charger is 110/220 compatible then all one would need is a plug adapter???????
Is the UK model 110/220?????
Warranty would be different of course.
Just looking to see what the differences are.

All Canon chargers normally accept 100-220 V, so only an adapter to fit the plug into the socket is required.
Best regards,

That is what I was thinking. I have lived all over the world and found most of the time an adapter is all that is needed.

The UK, USA and Japan models are identical apart from the badge.
The charger for the UK (mine is in front of me) is 100-240v 50/60Hz, i.e. universal. It is supplied with a UK and European lead, and you could easily buy a US or Australian lead. OTOH a US version would need a plug adaptor (like you would use for travelling). I don't know what a Japan/far east plug is like...
If you get one without an English manual, just download it from the website. All the LCD menus can be set to whatever language you like.
However it is useful to have awarranty that will be honoured in your home country.

This is important - my first 20D was returned, if i'd bought from the states it'd have been a 2 week round trip, or more. Lenses all come with an international warranty, bodies do not.
