It is definitly eye catching but personally looks like you may have over softened . Can you perhaps post a larger cropped imaged of the original or at least one thats not softened ?? But outside that i like it . BTW the EXIF isn't there . What was your settings ?

Thanks Celestron, No softening this is just how it came out after some noise reduction. 1/200" F8 ISO 100 -3EV Tripod mounted 1DMII and 100-400 L at 400mm. I guess I could give it some sharpening but I don't like the oversharpened look of some these type shots.

Why are the edges of the moon so bright on this shot, almost like it has a white outline? Issues with the lens? I'm not sure I've seen that so pronounced before.
I do like that you didn't blow out the moon like a lot of people like to do. I prefer it a bit darker like this.

jmx thanks for the comments. Concerning the whiter edges, I have looked at several other moon shots on this page and most of them have this brighter edge. You can see it a little bit better on my shot but I think thats due to my intentional lower key look, but not sure.

Lunar subs are good I used to watch them for bleach till they stopped stubbing it but personally I like unison subs by one subber so its up to you.
