I've searched a bunch of different places and haven't really come up with any results. I'm going to get a 500gb one but am not sure if I should spend the extra dough for the 2009 dual band version. As far as I can tell that's the only difference between the models. I can get the 500gb 2008 version for ~$90 cheaper from amazon.
Has anyone upgraded from the 2008 to 2009 version and saw any significant reason to upgrade?
Thanks for your opinions.

You wouldn't already happen to have an AirPort Extreme would you? If you did you could just add a USB HDD to it and save some money. Another cost saving method is if you have multiple Mac's (the main reason people want a Time Capsule) is to hook up a firewire drive to a stationary Mac in the house, share the drive then use it as a community Time Machine point. I've never used nor really researched the Time Capsules though because I use the share method.

I don't have an AirPort Extreme. I want a N router and have a PC as my only other computer. My main computer is a macbook pro. I currently connect a Seagate external usb drive to the macbook pro to store my music and archived raw files but work in the bedroom sometimes and it's a pain in the but not having those archived raw files available on my mac.

Ok so I figured it out. The key difference for me is with "dual-band" you can operate multiple proticols (ex. N, G, B, A) at the same time without degrading your network speed to the slowest connection.
This is the way I interperate what I've read. With the 2008 version if you have all "N" devices connected to the router your connection is at "N" speeed. If you have four connections with "N" and one with "G" all devices work on "G" speed.
Where the 2009 dual band version your devices can operate on there optimal speed.
