These are of my son & nieces. C & C is welcome, I'm always looking for helpful advice since I'm very new to DSLR photography. If you guys see anything about the composition and anything else, or if you guys have any advice on how to make my images a bit sharper in low light it would be much appreciated. All images were shot with the EF 50 1.8

Son up against his Gramps, this shot is noisy due to shooting at ISO 1600 and is a bit soft because I believe I shot it at 1.8. I think I really have to invest in a flash or learn how to post process.

A couple of my niece Shai, 1st one shot at 1.8 in low lit restaraunt, so I think that's why the first one is so soft. Second one I tried to capture her concentration (she was trying to follow the other older kids in doing the "Macarena".

In the first shot with time have you use?

All the little miss are very adorable. ;)

Note:
In the last the light is good, the color is good, but I prefer a more natural expression, especially with some beauty model as her. ;)

Thanks for the comments and advice alessandro. The lack of a natural expression in the last one is more than likely my fault, probably due to me having the camera right up in her face in order to get the close up I was going after.

Not sure about what you were asking me with your first question though, I've read it a couple times, but I still can't make it out.

Once again, thanks for the help alessandro.

Oh, I'm not quite sure...I don't have the EFIX data in front of me because I'm at work right now but I'll be sure to post all the EFIX data for all of them when I get home.

alessandro, I'm finally getting back to you with that shutter speed info on the first shot...it was taken at 1/100 of a second. I also edited my first two post and put the Efix data for each of the photos. Like I said, any advice on composition, settings, or anything else is extremely appreciated.
