Anyone know if there's a guide or something to go off of to see what a normal average for hot pixels would be at certain exposure times and iso's??

What does everyone have for a hot pixel count for their 20D w/
30" exp. @ 400 iso??

How many dead/hot pixels you are willing to accept does change from person to person. Are you using the noise reduction in the camera? Did you do a test with Deadpixeltest (free software?) I have none in my 20D. But that is probably not what you wanted to hear. Also depends on how many long exposure pix you will be taking and where the pixels are in the frame.

You're right, that's not what I wanted to hear, however every camera varies, so I'm not extremely worried about it. Does 10 sound like a reasonable amount? I will not be using the long exposures very often, but there will be a few here and there. Yes, I used the free software. When did you start seeing hot pixels in yours?

? of the day is - do you notice anything wrong in your pix? That's what counts. Don't get lost in any numbers game. Either you are happy with your camera or not - don't lose sleep worrying about some specifications, the lens you don't have, and such.
