I managed to take a shot today that reminded me why I love photography. No photo I've taken before has had this effect on me, I just wanted to go home there and then so I could see it on the screen.
I hope you lot like it...

Yes, that is a really nice shot, and knowing how fast that particular car (?) goes I know exactly why you were pleased with it.... Nice one!!

Exceptionally good. I wonder how it would look if you cut out some of the larger white band below the car (just so it's not so thick).
You could easily see that as a double-truck spread to start off a magazine article.

I've seen a lot of photos of that car over the years, that's probably the best I've seen.
Good work :D

Bet if you showed it to the driver or Santa Pod themselves, they would want it - IT IS AWESOME

I e-mailed Santa Pod but no reply yet. They probably get it all the time.

1/30 or 1/40, but it passed at 150mph so it looks a lot slower!

Yep. Wow. Nothing much more to say about that. Absolutely awesome shot.
I'd maybe like to see just a hair more room in the front though.

A few people on another forum asked for closer-up crops, so here we go:

Awsome,
Would like to see a little more space in front, but an awsome job, just being nit picky.
After shooting drags on the weekend I appreciate how hard it is to nail a shot like this.
What lense did you use, was it stabilised?? Just wondering as the 24-105 is a lense Im looking at to complement my 70-200 for sport.
Cheers

It was with my 70-200L. I haven't used the 24-105L for sport yet as I need the longer range.

That is one of the best pans I have seen. The car is so crisp that it looks as though it was shot sitting still with a tripod but the background is beautifully blurred.
