Photoshoot Monday June8th, need some advice and opinions

Ok so I have a photoshoot with two young ladies who asked me. I am pretty new to the whole people photoshoots, much better with cars and what not. What advice could you all give me?


My Weapons I have to choose from.


Canon 30d
17-85 mm is
50 mm 1.8
55-250 mm is
430 ex II
tripod


Location will be somewhere downtown before noon and possibly a junk yard.
The girls work for MAC so their style is unique bright colorful and creative.

ok with that ive heard its bad to cut off limbs so i was always afraid to get close.

you getting paid?
if not who cares. Do what YOU want. this is experience for you.
If you are getting paid, take a few pics and show em. see if that is what they are wanting. once you figure out what htey want, continue shooting and be happy

no its to build up and practice really. but i dont want it to seem like some random snap shots. I never felt the LCD on the 30d portrays a pictures true potential

Make sure you talk to them throughout the shoot! Keep them interested, show them some pictures throughout the shoot and let them know what you are doing.

yea ive noticed more interest comes when you tell them how to pose and what looks best,
