I am dying to get into photography, I really want to get a T1i once I can sell a kidney.

Does anyone know of any resourceful sites in which I can learn the basics?

Thanks in advance.

Bens guide has a lot of useful info. Other than that, just ask in here and someone will answer!

I certainly learned a lot from the lads and lassies in here!

Yeah, I figured this would be a good place to start.
I just dont know where to look or what to search for so a site/thread with all the basics would be good for me

Wow, neilwood32, that thread is just what I was looking for. Ill start reading now!

I have so many sites that I read on.

http://digital-photography-school.com/ -this one is my favorite I get daily emails and stuff from it. They go over all kinds of stuff from composition to camera basics. Its geared toward canon users but nikon owners can read it too.

http://digital-photography-school.com/ -someone on a different site suggested this one its more for beginners, its got a virtual camera on it, it tells you the information and then lets you try it out on the virtual camera.

This is only two of them Ive got tons more I read on, but I could go on forever. I read everything I can get my hands on.

Welcome to POTN! Be sure to look at the "Similar Threads" links at the bottom-left of this page, & the "Sticky"s at the top of the forum indexes, too. You'll find everything we have found to be important in those threads.

Check out http://www.morguefile.com/docs/Classroom too. They have cool little lessons at the end of each teaching.
