Went and shot images up there. It was a "little" more exciting than shooting MTB's. Here are a few.

I like #1 a lot. The angled horizon looks awesome with the lean angle of the rider/bike.
#4 is good also for the same reason.

Yes I had the 40D with a 580 on it. The flash was up way high on that shot. I had stopped shooting RAW then and was forced to edit in PS to bring it down some. He was maybe 4 feet from me. Weird line he took.

Looks like you had press access to the track. I tried shooting some from Freestone from the spectator area and that was tough.

Yeah I was shooting for someone. The second image would look cool with the background dark, maybe gradient it aND JUST USE LEVELS TO DARKEN so rider pops a little more?

Nice work Downhill, you also Two. This is a great sport to shoot and almost everyone has access to local tracks. Local is a good place to practice before going to a place like hangtown. I'm going to talk my way into a press photo pass for a big event but will shoot local stuff more first.

Yeah shooting local tracks just helps with timing and location choice I think...
Thanks
