not at all... i like what you did. To me the eyes look a little overdone. But thats just my input. How did you make the face look so much brighter without losing the blacks in the background?

First adjust the WB. Then make a layer just for the face and places you want brighter and adjust levels or curves to liking. Then adjust levels or curves for the background layer. Mask the brighter layer in.
