Hey,

I am always looking to improve, but I'm really keen on some fresh ideas for my website. I want to distribute Photo CD's in different resolutions.

What resolution(s) would be ideal for printing on a 150 and 300 dpi printer, for distribution? I am hoping to distibute 6"x4" and 8"x10" photos.

Can anybody point me in the right direction or provide some info. Cheers!!

Possibly I'm missing your point, but:

4x6" at 300 dpi = 1200x1800 pixels
8x10" at 300 dpi = 2400x3000 pixels

I'll leave the 150dpi printer ones as an exercise :)

Generally the standard is 300 dpi.

Haha that's kinda funny,
So it kinda works like this:

X x DPI = (One Side)
Where X = the measurement in inches of one side.

Shoulda worked that out myself. Thanks!

I think the150dpi you are referring to is called "draft mode" in most printers. I wouldn't print at that level for selling or framing. It wouldn't stand up to close scrutiny.
