This photo was captured late afternoon in Eilat Israel while walking around randomly snapping images. At first, I skipped over the image because of the kid running through it. But now I kind of like it. C&C welcome & appreciated!

It's a nice shot, although the extreme vignetting doesn't really work for me here.

I like this a lot. I think the kid running through the shot adds to it. Too bad he couldn't have been a little further to the right, I think it would have improved the balance. But nicely done.

The extreeme vignetting may have been by accident. I think I may have added a CP filter on top of a UV filter on my wide angle lens. I need to get back into lightroom to see if i did anything to this image.

+1 on both accounts

I really screwed the pooch with that photo. I was so excited about the available light that I 'think' I threw a CP on top of a UV filter and caused a mechanical vignette - but I would never do that - unless I was completely absentminded that day. I can't otherwise figure it out. No photoshop or lightroom vignette was used. I was using a 1DsMIII and 16-24 L 2.8. Maybe only the UV was on the lens. Is it possible a UV only filter with a full frame body and that lens could cause this? Well, it is what it is. Its not like that shot is going to a museum or anything.

its a very nice shot. try cloning out the vignette, it only needs to be taken back part of the way.

I think it's a great shot, nice framing. I did notice the dark corners, and read the further comments with interest.

I never bother to remove my UV before putting on the CPL - is that bad??

I think it is Eilat, not Eliat :)

Nice Shot.

Yes, Eilat. I have never been the best at spelling. I fixed the original post.

Maybe.

Every filter adds some length to the lens barrel and increases the likelihood of vignetting with wide angle lenses. It will depend on the lens, of course. So maybe your setup is fine (or else you just haven't noticed).
