I was in Sydney over the weekend and spent a fair bit of time photographing the skyline of the gorgeous city, here are two attempts at panoramas. Will be

"Pan aroma"!
The top shot from North Sydney is the best imho.
The second shot from the Opera House coffeeshop area toward Circular Quay really needs a WA to get more of the bridge.

What did you mean by really "needs a WA to get more of the bridge", was it the use of a wide angle lens or more numerous shots stitched?

Well either way.
The top one is nice, but it's a little overexposed.

My bad, the bridge was there, but off my screen!
Getting some more coffee soon.

Nice work! Did the lights star naturally, or did you do something special to get that effect? Maybe you would post your settings?

Lights tend to flare naturally with a long exposure or a very open aperture...
They are fantastic shots, Sydney is beautiful. I lived there, I am jealous now, and want to go back!

No i didnt do anything special at all apart from normal post processing and stitching.
My settings were Tv 13sec, Av F5.6 @ ISO 50
I could have gotten away with a faster shutter speed or smaller aperture, but i was pressed for time so i was limited to one panning attempt taking 9 shots in portrait mode (later cropped for effect).

these dont work for me because the composition just isnt sitting rite. Composing a panorama corectly is a very hard thing to do.
