I was shooting with my 50D with the 300 f/4 L on the action, and in the pits I used my 17-85.

Everything was shot AV, ISO 400, f/8. I shot at 400 because of the weather, and all were hand held.

Yes and no :) Nothing that I like. I tried a different corner and it really didn't work for me.
Oh well maybe next year :)

Well, #8 is my fave, but oh yeah, bike races, almost forgot..... :o

I like the high angle shots from inside of turn 6. I shoot a lot of SCCA stuff there, always looking for some different angles to use.

personally I cant imagine riding a bike competitively on that track. I've driven it a few times at speed in a well set-up car and that took enough nerve.

I'll be there next weekend for the June Sprints, hopefully the weather will be cooperative.

Your the first person to say anything about that. I've showed the photos to a lot of people this last week. I've always been a "stop action" type of photographer. Next time I'll have to lower the shutter speed a bit. Thanks for the comment :)
