I've just purchased a new S230, when I was following through the menu choices according to the users guide. When searching through the choices under the Rec. menu list the ISO and AiFA picks are missing. Has anyone experienced a similar problem??
I have also returned to the store where I’ve purchased the camera to check the one on display and it does show these choices. I then proceeded to check several other new cameras, same make and model as mine and they too are missing the menu choices.
Is there something that I must do or did not do to get the choices to display? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
Frank

Hmm, I too have the S230 and am checking to see what it is you are describing.
I turned "on" the camera with the 3 position selector in the "shoot" mode, hit the "menu" button and the ISO and AiFA selections are there.
Now if I turn the camera "on" in "movie" mode, they are gone. Make sure it's in the "shoot" mode.
You can reset all of the menu and button operation settings to default except for [Date/ Time], [Language], and [Video System].
Turn "on" the camera.
Press the "menu" button for longer than 5 seconds.
Select [OK] using the forward/backwards buttons, then press the "set" button.
This will put all your settings to default.

Maybe this page will help but you should have all the menus, strange. :(

Hello Frank I too just purchased my S230 and was intrigued by the possibility that mine was defective also,
so I switched on camera in reg shoot mode, and sure enough .. under the Rec mode both the ISO and the
AiFA were both missing from my menu...so as they say
"When all else fails read the Manual" LOL....sure enough
there laid the answer....you must take the camera out of AUTO mode and put into the MANUAL mode...then check the menu again you will find now they are both there.
Good Shooting
