Found this old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere in Alberta. I'm sure it could tell some interesting stories. The two shots were taken at different times of day. First one with the 20D and second shot was with 1DMKII.

They remind me of the movie "Legend of The Fall" which has interesting story behind the walls.
Thanks for sharing, ssim. I love your owl shots in your gallery.

Nice find Sheldon, and well captured. It would be nice to suddenly stumble across a data base with info on these old Homesteads. I like to hear the stories and history of these old dwellings as well. Too bad that's not likely.

Very nice stuff SSIM!!! Did you shoot #1 with a polarizer? if so can yo ulet me know your setup on it? (im looking for a good CP but don't want to break the bank on a filter)

The first one was shot with a Hoya circular polarizer. The results I have gotten from this filter has been very good. The interesting thing about that first shot is that it was the first thing that I had shot that day and I had inadvertently left the camera set at ISO800 from something that I was shooting the night before. That is why I went back and shot it at another time of day. There doesn't seem to be too much noise in the image. It was shot with the 24-70 f/2.8L lens at f10 and the shutter speed was 1/400th.

The Hoya filter is not cheap but does give great results, IMO.

Thanks for the comments all.

Nice shots. Love the clouds in number 1. I think number 2 is my favorite.

Both are excellent shots, Sheldon, and I love what the CPL did for the sky.

Nice shots. But judging from the condition of the place, any stories would have to be short stories. I'm not sure it would last long enough for any of novel length!
